23rd March, 2020

Hello everyone,

The safety and well-being of our patients and healthcare providers is our priority during the most challenging time we’ve faced in a generation or more.

As advised by the Government & the RNZCGP,

For our registered patients we will be moving to virtual consults (phone, MMH mail etc.) and will only do face to face consults if deemed essential via initial phone screening from a clinical staff member.

We will still be open for flu vaccinations, child immunisations, depo injections, removal of sutures etc. as these are essential services.

Flu vaccinations at this stage are prioritised for healthcare workers and eligible patients (Eligible patients include people aged 65 and over, pregnant women, people with certain chronic conditions and young children with a history of severe respiratory illness).

Please call reception on 092620072 to book in for a virtual consult as there is limited availability.

If you try to walk in to the clinic you will be declined and asked to call reception.

Charges still apply for virtual consults and we will email/txt you an invoice.

Request for ‘Repeat Prescriptions’ can still be made and for all prescriptions we can send to the pharmacy downstairs or fax/email to a pharmacy of your choice. We will not email prescriptions to patients as this is against policy and we ask that you do not come to collect at the clinic either for safety reasons.

We understand that there will be a lot of congestion on the phone lines, we ask that you try again later or message via Manage My Health (for more information on Manage My Health please call or email reception 092620072 – admin@southpointfamilydoctors.co.nz

We are trying to open more phone lines and are also looking into video virtual consults.

We appreciate your compliance and patience in this most trying time. We will do our best to keep you updated.
