Born and raised in Lower Hutt, Dr Hina has made Auckland her home for the past two decades. Her Tongan heritage links her to the villages of Lapaha through her mother and Ha’apai through her husband, while her English and Scottish lineage adds another layer of diversity through her father.

Since partnering with Dr. Fiona to establish Southpoint Family Doctor’s in 2014, Dr. Hina has been dedicated to serving our community – not just as a General Practitioner, but as an advocate for equitable health for Pasifika and Māori communities.

The most rewarding aspect of her work is engaging with people, sharing knowledge with her colleagues, her medical students, and of course, her patients.
