Dr Fiona Mariner-Shepherd
MB ChB; FRNZCGP
- Samoan/Niuean//Māori
Dr. Fiona spent her childhood journeying around the country with her parents and four younger siblings, as her father made a living building churches all over New Zealand. With a diverse heritage of Samoan, Māori, Niuean and NZ European, Fiona chose a career in medicine to fulfill a desire to serve those within her community.
While attending medical school at the University of Auckland, Fiona met Dr Hina and formed a lasting friendship. Their shared dedication to serving the Pasifika and Māori communities in South Auckland became the motivation behind the establishment of Southpoint Family Doctor’s.
In Fiona’s life, her friends, family, and religious beliefs are paramount, shaping her values and guiding her decisions.
