Dr Anae Neru Leavasa

General Practitioner

During the 1980s, Dr Leavasa’s parents relocated from Samoa to establish a new home in New Zealand, where they raised him and his five siblings. Confronted with metastatic bone cancer during his teenage years, he overcame the odds and beat it, fuelling his determination to pursue a career in medicine and offer vital support to his community.

Before working with us, Dr. Leavasa amassed over a decade of experience as a General Practitioner and Sports Doctor in Mangere, along with serving as a GP in rural farming areas. Having previously represented South Auckland as a Labour MP for Takanini, he continues to serve our community as he prioritises the wellbeing of patients and families, while simultaneously balancing his roles as a devoted husband and father.
